Decadent in Word is an anthology of selected pieces of sung and spoken word edited and rearranged with new orchestral samples from the three previously released albums Poets and Visionaries, Betrayals and Ecstasies and Legacy of Corruption and is the sixth in the series of the new design that will be part of a box set. Dealing with the controversial and in some cases banned writings of the leading Decadent and Symbolist poets, the album, with the vocal and spoken voice, encapsulates the mood of the Elijah's Mantle project and the additional improved orchestral arrangements and experimentation make this possibly one of the strongest albums in the collection to date.
The album was partly funded by the DeNovaDaCapo Subscribers and Cavan Arts which is part of the Arts Council of Ireland. It is through Subscriptions and Arts Funding that these projects are made possible to which I am sincerely grateful.
