The audio piece from the album The Empty Vessel Soundscape in Ten Parts by Mark St.John Ellis runs for fifty five minutes starting with the sounds of three percussive metal bowls and a crystal Chinese singing bowl. This sequence of sounds loops and the piece builds with the vocal parts of early music and traditional Irish singer Caitriona O'Leary to Part Six returning gradually to its original state in Part One. This was installed in Chapel Royal Dublin Castle with beautiful lighting in the vaulted ceiling enhancing the atmosphere for the Culture Night 2020 event. Despite a queuing system as only a limited amount were allowed in the Chapel due to Covid 19 restrictions individuals did remain for up to thirty minutes taken by the meditative and contemplative slowness of the piece.
